JOB DESCRIPTION: COATING QC INSPECTOR The proposed Coating QC Inspectors shall meet the following requirements: a) Basic engineering degree or diploma and Eight (8) years of working experience in the oil and gas industry of which Six (6) years must be in the Onshore and Offshore Oil & Gas Pipelines Projects b) Valid NACE/AMPP Coating Inspector Level 2 certification. c) Minimum 5 years of coating inspection experience in Oil & Gas pipeline projects. d) Strong knowledge of blasting surface preparation protective coating systems FBE coatings and inspection equipment. e) Perform inspection of surface preparation abrasive blasting painting and coating activities as per approved specifications ITPs and procedures. f) Verify surface cleanliness surface profile environmental conditions dew point humidity. g) Conduct WFT DFT adhesion holiday detection dust and soluble salt testing as applicable. h) Verify paint materials batch numbers shelf life mixing ratio thinning and storage requirements. i) j) Monitor coating application curing re-coating intervals stripe coating and repair activities. Identify coating defects and ensure corrective actions are properly completed. k) Review coating procedures paint data sheets material certificates and inspection records. l) Raise and follow up RFI NCR punch-list items and inspection reports. m) Coordinate with client third-party inspectors subcontractors and painting teams. n) Maintain coating inspection records and support final inspection and project handover. o) Ensure compliance with NACE/AMPP SSPC ISO ASTM project specifications and client requirements.
