Dredging Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Dredging Engineer to join our team in this role you will be responsible for planning executing and overseeing dredging operations for marine construction and port development projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills technical expertise and a commitment to safety and efficiency in all dredging activities.

• Design and develop dredging operation plans including equipment selection scheduling and resource allocation
• Analyze soil and sediment samples to determine dredging requirements and environmental impact assessments
• Oversee dredging equipment operation and maintenance ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
• Monitor dredging progress and quality control measures to meet project specifications and timelines
• Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for project records and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with project managers environmental specialists and marine contractors to coordinate dredging activities
• Conduct site surveys and utilize CAD software to create accurate dredging maps and operational plans
• Ensure adherence to maritime regulations environmental guidelines and international dredging standards
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions to maintain operational efficiency
• Supervise on-site dredging teams and provide technical guidance to ensure safe and effective operations

Qualifications :

• Proven experience in dredging operations marine construction or related maritime engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of dredging equipment hydraulic systems and operational procedures
• Proficiency with CAD software and marine surveying tools
• Solid understanding of soil mechanics sediment analysis and environmental compliance requirements
• Experience with project management and site supervision in dredging or marine environments
• Familiarity with maritime regulations and international dredging standards (IMCA OPITO)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Relevant maritime or safety certifications (preferred)
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
