Position Description:

• Derive business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition, design research plans, and conduct all necessary user research
• Elicit business goals and user needs from stakeholders
• Facilitate customer discovery sessions
• Collaborate with UX design resources to create Journey Maps, Personas and Scenarios of Use

Skills Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis
• Minimum of 6 years of formal user research experience utilizing User-Centered Methods and User Analysis

Required Skills:

• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis
• Minimum of 6 years of experience documenting user requirements, user needs (and pain points), and UX recommendations
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in designing and conducting formative various user research tests (including user interviews, contextual inquiry, card sorting, usability tests, and others) in both formal and informal settings
• Minimum of 6 year of experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations in small and large group settings

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Pega and/or ServiceNow platforms
• Experience with the Agile/Scrum methodology
• Prior experience supporting government agencies
• Understanding of Section 508 and its requirements regarding design

Education:

• Bachelor's degree and 7 Years of relevant work experience OR Master's degree and 5 Years of relevant work experience as a User Experience Researcher or a minimum of 11 years related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Other Certifications: UX Master Certification (NNG), UX Design Immersive (General Assembly)
• Must provide a digital portfolio of research work highlighting methodologies for review
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
