Job description:
Role Summary:
The IT Finance Specialist/Analyst plays a pivotal role in financial analysis, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting standards within the IT domain. This position is essential for supporting the Group IT Finance function and collaborating closely with IT leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis related to technology operational and IT project expenses (OPEX & CAPEX).
- Generate timely and insightful reports, key performance indicators, and metrics to empower senior management in making data-driven decisions.
- Budgeting & Planning:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of budgets, forecasts, and actual spending tracking for IT Operations and projects.
- Monitor IT expenses, identify cost optimization opportunities and ensure alignment with financial plans.
- Strategic Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between the finance and IT departments, actively participating in technology-related decision-making processes.
- Collaborate closely with the IT Leadership Team (ITLT) to align financial planning and cost management with IT strategies.
- Compliance & Control:
- Uphold compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control systems, mitigating financial risks.
- Contribute to enhancing and managing accounting systems and controls, ensuring fiscal integrity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Partnering:
- Engage in complex allocation and intercompany cross-charge processes, providing analysis and explanations to business unit CFOs regarding IT allocations.
- Collaborate effectively with various business units and stakeholders to ensure financial alignment and transparency.
- Financial Modeling & Analysis:
- Develop and maintain monthly budget/forecast to actual reporting, including the use of financial models for expense allocation, in partnership with IT, finance, and business leaders.
- Foster the development of multi-year views of technology investments and their implications.

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Desirable qualifications include an MBA or other relevant graduate degrees, and CFA/CPA certifications, reflecting the level of expertise sought.

- A solid understanding of Accounting Standards, financial analysis, and budgeting principles is essential for the role.
