Senior Network Engineer

Job Description

• Manage and expand the technical knowledge base and the engineering experience and skills for the team members
• Maintain deep and solid understanding and proficiency in SAPTelecom`s product and solution portfolio
• Willingness to travel to implement projects in our branches Oman and Dubai
• Present a professional interface to the customer to SAPTelcom`s products, solutions and technology vendors.
• Perform design and presales activities and help customers to obtain the right solution to meet their business requirements and resolve their pain points
• Prepare bill of materials and technical offers
• Implement, deliver and document functional and optimized network and security solutions to the customers
• Provide the technical support to the customer, diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve the technical and operational incidents/issues that might be encountered

Job Requirements

• Solid knowledge and experience in IP networks including and not limited to the following topics and skills:
• Solid knowledge in (Cisco, HP Aruba, Fortinet, TrendMicro)
• Preferable knowledge in (Riverbed, Peplink, App dynamics, solarwinds, Polycom)
• Enterprise switching (structure, hierarchy, design, device configuration, troubleshooting)
• TCP/IP protocols
• Topics of CCNA, CCNP switching are considered mandatory (or the same topics from equivalent vendor like Aruba “ACSA, ACSP” and Juniper “JNCA, JNCP”
• 5 years of experience in the IP network major, preferably 3 years working in a solution integrator
• Excellent command of written English, reporting, documentation and research skills
• Very good spoken English
• Very good presentation skills
• Comprehensive understanding and awareness and moderate experience in some of the following topics and skills:
• Network and application performance management techniques and tools
• Network and information security solutions:
• Next generation Firewalls (NGFW)
• Intrusion Pretension Systems (IPS)
• Endpoint protection
• Advanced Thread Protection (ATP)
• Sandboxing
• Mail security
• Controller based Wireless LAN
• Structured network cabling and passive network components
