SENIOR DEVOPS ENGINEER

We are a Malaysia-based FinTech offering automation solutions to asset management companies ( AMCs ) and other financial institutions. Our core product is a novel enterprise blockchain & AI-based ERP system for AMCs that supports the full end-to-end processes of an AMC.

Our customers enjoy cost savings from reduced dependency on outsourced services such as transfer agencies and decommissioning of legacy systems. We further specialize in conversational AI products. They augment customer acquisition and customer servicing at attractive SaaS rates. Our bots are completely cloud-based and are deployed for complete contact center augmentation as well as automation of simple tasks such as cold calling.

As a DevOps engineer, you will be responsible for the building, deployment and maintenance of AWS cloud infrastructure. Responsible for creating a DevOps strategy and implementation.

Cloud infrastructure provisioning and management control

Drive and implement highly scalable, reliable and complex productive workloads.

Provide status updates to stakeholders and escalate issues when necessary.

Automating, maintaining and managing AWS cloud based production systems, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of production systems.

Ability to work independently to solve workload related issues collaboratively with the team.

Develop automation scripts with python, Golang, or shell

Build, release and configuration management of production systems.

Pre-production Acceptance validation for quality delivery.

System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains. Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.

Apply critical system security through the industrial best practices and cloud security solutions

Implement and automate CI/CD pipeline and manage the health check activities

Implement DevSecOps processes across version control (Github) and other deployment pipelines.

6 years work experience as a DevOps/Cloud Engineer.

AWS: 3+ years work experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies to develop and maintain workloads on AWS Services, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security.

6 years work experience of designing, building and supporting Enterprise solutions.

Experience in the design and deployment of workload through Infrastructure-as-a-code technologies such as Terraform, AWS CDK, etc.

Proven experience with scripting and automation with open source cloud resources or on AWS infrastructure.

Proven experience in creation of highly available and reliable automation systems and infrastructure.

Experience with managing production infrastructure with observability and monitoring tools

Ability to present and communicate the architecture to multiple stakeholders

DevOps: Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime Amazon AWS environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools.

Experience with system monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Splunk, ELK, Grafana e.t.c).

Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.

Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

Good written & verbal communication skills.

B.Sc. in Computer Science or other equivalent technical discipline.

Detail-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts and technologies.

Must be a strong team player with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a geographically dispersed working environment.
