Must Haves:

• Experience in using Power BI and other data visualization tools to create reports and dashboards perform data exploration and manage datasets.
  
• Expertise in designing interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop including selecting appropriate visualizations and arranging elements for clarity.
  
• Experience in performing DAX formulas and functions for performing calculations aggregations and custom calculations in Power BI
  
• Understanding of good UI design in delivering rich user experience by creating custom visuals and themes in Power BI to enhance report aesthetics and functionality.
  

General Skills:

• Experience in using Power BI and other data visualization tools to create reports and dashboards perform data exploration and manage datasets.

• Expertise in optimizing report and dashboard performance by optimizing queries data models and visualization rendering.
  
• Understand the development of data extraction transformation and load programs (daily and initial load) functionality on a wide range of data repositories (structured and semistructured files relational and multidimensional data stores)
  
• Experience with developing monitoring and error notification processes to ensure data is updated as designed.
  
• Experience with developing automation extraction cleansing and load scripts within Power BI
  
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to interpret data identify trends and provide actionable insights. The capacity to translate business requirements into data visualization solutionsExperience in process decomposition/mapping and business process re engineering and complex data models using UML.
  
• Experience in the use of development tools and business reengineering software
  
• Experience with the Microsoft suite of technology including: Azure Data Factory Azure SQL Database Azure Data Lake and Power BI
  
• Experience with data modeling and design principles for data marts and data warehouses
  

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge and experience in Power BI and SAP BusinessObject Enterprise 4.2 Crystal Report Web Inteligence Report Universe Design Reports as
  
• Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles concepts policies and practices
  
• Ability to provide expert advice in developing and integrating process and information models to enable identifying and eliminating redundant business processes
  
• Experience with developing monitoring and error notification processes to ensure data is updated as designed
  
• Hands on experience working with stakeholders to develop and document interface specifications design between Business Intelligence solutions and external applications
  
• Extensive experience with conceptual logical and physical data modelling tools like Power Designer and Visio
  
• Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
  
• Knowledge and experience with the Amazon Redshift technology such as S3 data lake ML & analytics services Amazon Athena etc.
