Were a YCombinatorbacked startup operating a B2B payments platform that simplifies global payments for businesses in emerging markets. With $3 million in seed funding and a 30% monthonmonth growth rate we are on a mission to eliminate the inefficiencies in payment systems and Foreign Exchange supply in emerging markets. Currently operational in Nigeria and Ghana we are scaling into new markets in the coming months. Our team is a dynamic mix of former founders 10x engineers and business and legal professionals all committed to making global B2B payments easy and accessible.
What we are looking for
The HR Administrator will support the human resources department by handling various administrative tasks related to employee management and organisational processes. This person will ensure smooth HR operations maintain accurate records and provide support to both employees and management.
What does the job involve
- Handle recruitment of potential hires including coordinating interviews and onsite visit with hiring managers ensuring all stakeholders are informed of interview times.
- Assist in conducting background and reference checks for potential hires.
- Prepare for upcoming new hire onboarding sessions ensuring all necessary materials and resources are ready for the orientation induction and training processes.
- Update and maintain employee records in the HRIS and process payroll in a timely and efficient way.
- Manage offboarding procedures for departing employees including conducting exit interviews and coordinating onsite clearance processes to ensure a smooth transition.
- Address any HRrelated inquiries by providing timely and accurate information or guidance as needed.
- Coordinate with insurance providers and other benefits vendors as necessary.
- Help employees understand the benefit plans and options available to them.
- Keep abreast of labour laws and regulations to ensure compliance with HR practices.
- Guide employees on HR policies and procedures.
- Plan and organise onsite employee engagement initiatives and events aimed at fostering a positive work environment
- Assist with various administrative tasks such as communicating with external vendors/service providers and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Support the planning and execution of company events or gatherings including logistics coordination setup and attendee management.
- Act as a point of contact for employees seeking assistance with administrative tasks such as booking travel arrangements coordinating deliveries or scheduling appointments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HR Ops Assistant People Manager or similar position
- A Bachelors degree in Business Administration Human Resources or a related field
- Strong understanding of HR principles practices and employment laws.
- Excellent organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in HRIS payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Proactive problemsolving abilities and a serviceoriented approach.
- Considerable experience or knowledge in working in fastpaced environments
