Office LAN network EngineerVOIS - Vodafone

Role Purpose:

Responsible for the design and implementation of office LAN network capabilities that support reliable and secure hosted and collaborative services across Vodafone mainly focused for corporate LAN VPN Management LAN Data Center and Office IT environments.

Responsible for the engineering design (High and Low Level) network implementation testing and quality assurance activities in the Local Markets network. Responsible for developing and expanding the teams technical skills and experience. Responsible for IP connectivity design based on customer demand. Responsible for network optimization.

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:

• Responsible for High Level and LowLevel Design engineering and network design optimization

o Drive increased quality of our network end to end.
o Provide HLDs LLDs define templates modularize and industrialize configuration items and their implementation.
o Deploy the network fit for purpose including understanding of how our services/applications layer will run across the network (capacity capability utilization)
o Implement Virtualization and segregation concepts.
o Conduct proof of concept (POC) validation

• 
  Responsible for optimal implementation process that delivers ensured quality.

o Optimize the design and implementation costs and to achieve a harmonized & simplified network infrastructure
o Take control over CAPEX budget; forecast planning allocation approval process administration
o Deployment of the validated solution to its operational environment and deliver training
o Planning of Changes and support of Change Management Process
o Supervision of external supporters and 3rd parties
o Quality assurance in the design and implementation process
o Support Test & Accept/Audit the deployed solution
o Hand over the accepted solution to Operations and Maintenance
o Manage and control the different existing test environments
o Define necessary test catalogues and test plans
o Document test & QA activities
o Drive knowledge transfer and technical skill development within Network Implementation team

• Responsible to ensure a network documentation

o Support the stateofthe art network documentation for the implemented solution that is aligned with Cyber Security architecture.
o Ensure the quality of the documentation.
o Support the data population and accuracy of the Asset and Change Management Databases

• 
  Responsible to ensure network harmonization and standardization across the Region / the local market

o Harmonize Office LAN network across European environments and services.
o Drive network standards across Local markets
o Drive Support Network innovations as SDN

• 
  Collaboration and Teamwork

o Alignment with other engineering implementation and operations teams in Vodafone
o Development of harmonized solutions within Regions and Cyber Security
o Share expertise with other network teams across Vodafone

o Expert Knowledge in routing protocols VOIP technology WLAN technology DHCP DNS AD
o Expert Knowledge in network management and network analysis

Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications:

• An academic degree and at least 5 years work experience in an IT organization supporting large heterogeneous IT infrastructures.
• Good experience in project management
• R&S CCNA or CCNP certifications strongly recommended.
• goaloriented and spirit of initiative as well as responsibility
• Fluent English oral and written
