Midwidfe

: The Midwife will be specifically responsible for performing the following activities:

• Providing clinical care to women and adolescents for reproductive health problems
• Providing advice, care and support for women and their babies during antenatal and postnatal periods
• Developing, assessing and evaluating individual program of care
• Identify high risk cases and refer to doctors and other secondary care facilities
• Provide vaccination services to children, women of child bearing age and pregnant women as per the MoH EPI guidelines for prevention against vaccine preventable diseases
• Ensure that standard procedures for cold chain maintenance are followed for storage of vaccines in the health facility
• Arranging and providing health education on reproductive health issues
• Providing counselling and advice to all patients related to reproductive health
• Manage inventories of RH commodities in a professional and tidy manner ensuring accountability in collaboration with the Senior Health Officer (in charge)
