Mechanical Maintenance Technician

• Become an equipment expert in the area you are assigned and identify training needed to be an equipment expert.
  
• Develop a positive/supportive relationship with the equipment operators of the equipment in your assigned area.
  
• Determine the needs of your equipment and conduct your daily activities to increase equipment uptime and reduce failures.
  
• Adopt a proactive vs. reactive maintenance behavior to support the future state of maintenance.
  
• Be accountable for the continuous improvement of the equipment in your area.
  
• Develop Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance activities to prevent reoccurring failures to equipment.
  
• Begin shift with walkthroughs and inspections in your assigned area.
  
• Complete work requests for parts to ensure the correct cost can be tracked. Fill out initial work request with as much information as possible.
  
• Meet with the equipment operators daily to determine equipment issues.
  
• Support and work within the Maintenance Systems (i.e., work orders and PM s).
  
• Ensure shift-to-shift communication covering repeat problems and/or concerns.
  

Requirements

• 2 year degree in Electrical, Mechanical or other related Technical Field preferred or 5 years Maintenance experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  
• Root Cause Analysis/Problem Solving Skills.
