Job title: Key Account Manager

Location: WFH/The Office based in NY USA

The Role

This role is dedicated to the strategy planning and execution of specialist sales at Tangle Teezer US. It requires strong people/relationship management skills astute commercial thinking experience in negotiating and passion and drive for the hair or beauty industry.


In this role youll get to:

  • Own key management of a number of specialist accounts for Tangle Teezer namely Ulta Beauty.
  • Be responsible for delivering the financial budgets set for each account in your remit working with every customer on new business growing space tracking performance and inventory and addressing the business needs of each customer.
  • Create launch and maintain datadriven assortments by retailer to drive the highest sales revenue.
  • Seek and develop relationships with multiple touch points across the retailer such as with Category Management or the Inventory Analyst to ensure a wide reach of customer service.
  • For larger accounts ensure you have a regular meeting to cover all current topics and build on the working relationship.
  • Coordinate customer meetings both virtually and sometimes inperson which will require nationwide travel.
  • Act as the direct liaison between all your customers and Tangle Teezer.
  • Work with the US Demand Planner to ensure the best possible forecasts are in place for your accounts and you can maximize sales potential.
  • Manage a profitable business for every account including an everyday strong P&L with appropriate sales promotions reviewed for meaningful sales moments throughout the year.
  • Work closely with the US Marketing team for all trade and influencer requests creating clear briefs and direction in what is required.
  • Report to VP of US Sales and ensure she is equipped with regular clear reporting and data analysis on your sales channels. You will work collaboratively with her on how your work best feeds into the department goals she is accountable to deliver
  • Stay up to date on key internal information such as product launches campaigns and anything that can feed into you delivering the best result for your customers.
  • As a small but mighty team have a cando approach and be happy to roll your sleeves up and help your colleagues.


What we are looking for in you:

  • 5 years experience in sales and account management.
  • Worked with Ulta Beauty directly liaising with buyers and strategically driving business with them.
  • A proven track record of increasing sales.
  • Beauty experience required hair experience preferable.
  • A passion for sales and brand building through retail execution.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
