Freelance Business Development Consultant Clinical Research

Our client is a Contract Research Organization (CRO) is looking for a freelance BD consultant to help identify new potential clients and bring in new business to their organization.

This is a remote role and can be based in any country. Remuneration is commissionbased only upon study award.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and research potential clients within the pharmaceutical and biotech industry including target companies key decisionmakers and industry trends
• Develop and nurture longterm relationships by utilizing a scientific approach to identify needs and provide solutions with a focus on highlevel contacts within drug development
• Generate new business leads through various channels including networking online platforms and referrals
• Conduct market analysis and competitive research to identify opportunities for growth and market differentiation
• Collaborate with the internal team including project managers and senior management to develop compelling service offerings and proposals. This involves working closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless project handover and client satisfaction
• Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations proposals and quotations to potential clients highlighting the value and benefits of our services
• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with clients ensuring favorable terms while maintaining profitability
• Continuously monitor and analyze market trends competitor activities and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and strategic initiatives
• Maintain and provide updates of accurate and uptodate records of business development activities customer interactions and sales pipeline

Candidate requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar role within a CRO preferred
• Experience within the pharmaceutical or clinical research space
• Good written and spoken English
