Unique liquid metal printing technology was launched in 2021 with the ElemX 3D printer. Elem Additive operates out of Durham North Carolina and is seeking a high-level Operator for a ElemX printer at customer site in Monterey California. This is a one-year contract with potential for extension
Responsibilities
Operate the ElemX 3D printer day to day. Part file preparation (slicing), machine start up, print job monitoring, build unloading
Perform the full range of maintenance on assigned products as per schedule; including repair, on-site troubleshooting, installation, moves, removal, retrofit, preventative maintenance activities, and customer call assistance
Take responsibility for customer satisfaction by providing timely and courteous operation of the ElemX with minimal support from other personnel
Interact with customer to understand and resolve their issues
Keep service management informed on regular basis of potential machine related issues
Participate as a full member of a service workgroup and contribute to the group s productivity
10% travel to customer s other sites
Responsible for assigned parts, tools and any other assets provided
Requirements
3+ years working with industrial manufacturing equipment. Eg. 3D Printers, CNCs, injection molding, metal casting, PCB assembly. Experience of their operation and maintenance
Experience with 3D printing machine or machines with numerical control workflow
Experience with machine troubleshooting and hands on operation
Experience working with 3D model application and file formats (e.g: Solidworks, STEP, STL, etc.)
Willing to complete paid 4 week training in Durham North Carolina (if required)
Visa status: Must be a US Citizen
A certificate or diploma from a recognized technical school, will be preferred
Experience with MS office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
