Customs Officer
The Customs Officer at ExampleCorp is responsible for inspecting incoming shipments and ensuring that they comply with customs regulations. This position is based at ExampleCorp's headquarters. The Customs Officer will work closely with the shipping department to ensure that all shipments are properly documented and that all duties and taxes are paid.
Key Responsibilities
The following areas of focus will be central to your role in this position:
- Completing customs declaration forms.
- Classifying and appraising imported merchandise.
- Determining tariffs and duties to be paid.
- Examining and inspecting merchandise to prevent the introduction of prohibited items.
- Enforcing export control laws and regulations.
- Collecting statistical data on imported and exported merchandise.

Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following attributes:
- A minimum of two years experience working in customer service
- A minimum of one year experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong attention to detail
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- A valid passport and the ability to travel
