- Implement ABA program with consistency and treatment/procedural integrity
- Utilize antecedent intervention procedures (e.g. Premack Principle Noncontingent Reinforcement Functional Communication Training).
- Utilize behavior analytic teaching strategies (e.g. task analysis shaping chaining Direct Instruction Discrete Trial Training Pivotal Response Therapy Natural Teaching Environment and Precision Teaching).
- Utilize consequence interventions (e.g. reinforcement (schedules) punishment and extinction).
- Provide social skills instruction.
- Provide authorized services directly to the family and consumer.
- Maintain communication with consumers/parents/caregivers through email and phone calls.
- Collect review summarize and communicate data (data sheets session notes task analyses ABC data sheets parent goal data etc.) and progress with Program Supervisor.
- Maintain communication with Program Supervisor for mastery and new programs on each individual case.
- Conducts oneonone consumer/parent/caregiver sessions.
- All sessions are facetoface and not through electronic means.
- Attend quarterly staff meetings and professional development trainings.
- Report any incidents and communication from the parent to the Program Supervisor
- Submits SIR within the same day of incident.
- Contact Program Supervisor and Human Resource Department prior to cancellations.
- Provide consistent and ongoing therapy to clients; no consistent cancellations allowed.
Requirements
- Must have at least 6 months experience working with individuals with Autism or any developmental disabilities.
- Must have basic knowledge of the following:
- Basic concepts and principles of applied behavior analysis
- Behavior analytic learning principles (i.e. reinforcement punishment and extinction) and how they are used to reduce problem behaviors increase appropriate behaviors replacement behaviors and teach new skills.
- Ethical guidelines for the practice of applied behavior analysis
- Basic knowledge and implementation of common data collection tools (e.g. frequency rate duration)
- Must be selfmotivated responsible honest articulate and be able to work independently and in a team.
- Stand sit twist kneel bend over crouch down walk sit/play on the floor for extended periods of time.
- Be able to lift push and pull up to 40 pounds without assistance from another adult.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Fluency with all Microsoft Office programs.
- Spanish bilingual preferred
