Automation Consultant

We are currently looking for an Automation Consultant for one of our clients in the insurance industry.

12month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.
Work schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain technical solutions to automate key processes and tasks.
Contribute to the development of automation policies standards and processes.
Select appropriate tools to optimize team performance and utilize them effectively.
Evaluate new automation tools and offer guidance on technology patterns and best practices.
Facilitate the reuse and adoption of solutions across teams through demonstrations and coaching sessions.
Ensure all automations comply with company security directives and policies.
Provide expert input for estimating business case requirements.
Create automation playbooks and companion documentation to aid understanding of automated tasks for both development and operations teams.
Identify automation opportunities and provide guidance on effective implementation methods.
Educate others on automation tools and best practices.
Adhere strictly to security and change management directives in all operations.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelor s degree in computer science Computer Engineering or equivalent discipline.
35 years of experience in automation development.
Experience with TransactSQL is preferred.
Proficiency with automation tools such as RPA (Blue Prism) Ansible scripting languages like Python and DevOps tools including Terraform Docker Jenkins Kubernetes Grafana etc.
Strong coding skills in Java C# .NET and experience with APIs.
Sound understanding of workflowbased logic capable of interpreting business processes from workflow diagrams and conceptualizing automated solutions.
Ability to blend business analysis with handson configuration and development of automated solutions.
Familiarity with enterprise methodologies like ITIL CMMI and SDLC.
Ability to quickly grasp unfamiliar business areas or technologies.
Excellent relationship management and consulting skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with PowerShell CMD batch files Bash Shell Scripting VBscript Excel Macros and test automation tools like Tosca is desirable.
Knowledge of Continuous Delivery Director (CDD) is a plus.
Familiarity with Bitbucket.
