As the APP Development Advisor your primary focus is to facilitate the effective and timely implementation of our global APP development strategy. Your role involves nurturing the growth and reinforcement of WSET qualifications within our network of APPs. This includes refining our onboarding and support programs coordinating a wellstructured visit schedule and supporting brand awareness initiatives in various markets. Your approach emphasises introducing flexible and creative solutions to support APPs in achieving their WSET ambitions.

As an App Development Advisor your role on occasion requires some flexibility in working hours including evenings and weekends along with occasional overnight stays and overseas travel.

Account Development

Implement strategies for market/sector development within the existing APP network to maximize opportunities.

Enhance customer experience by contributing to valueadd services and strengthening relationships with APPs.

Collaborate with APPs to improve conversion rates expand qualification offerings and increase presence at local events.

Conduct APP visits to facilitate growth development and quality assurance.

Coordinate with Customer Service to ensure high standards and contribute to APPrelated decisions.

Monitor APP performance metrics and make improvement recommendations.

Facilitate WSET custom courses for brand awareness and new opportunities.

Contribute to the development of strategies for priority markets/sectors.

Advise stakeholders on student acquisition through various methods.

Manage administrative processes and deadlines for APPs monthly and annual plans.

Training Quality and Integrity

Implement training requirements and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) across the APP network.

Observe monitor and provide feedback to APPs regarding the quality of delivery of WSET qualifications in the classroom (in person hybrid remote).

Support ETP team in candidate selection and course delivery.

Attend APP activities to ensure consistency quality and integrity are maintained to protect WSET reputation.

Working Closely with Governance (Quality Assurance) team in monitoring APP quality standards and carry out any investigation where the quality and integrity of WSET qualifications are at risk. Action any resulting recommendations corrective and preventative measures with the APP Educate APPs on compliance with administrative processes.

Educate APPs to increase compliance with our administrative processes.

Monitor App quality standards on onboarding and review centre visit documentation to ensure all roles and responsibilities are met.

Marketing

Collaborate with Marketing for APP toolkits and translated sales support.
Contribute to marketing activities at global trade fairs events and activations.
Identify new promotional opportunities and act as a host/presenter at events.

Reports Projects and Communication

Produce annual reviews of APPs to inform budget and performance planning.

Represent APP Development on projects and provide data on business activity in a constructive manner.

Act on outcomes from APP surveying activities with a focus on improvement.

Propose and manage agreed budgets associated with your area of responsibility providing monthly reports for review by Finance the Global APP Development Director and Chief Representative Officer WSET China.

Contribute to the overall successful operation of WSET by undertaking such other tasks as may from time to time be requested.

Desirable attributes:

WSET Level 3 in Wine/Spirits/Sake

Recent project management experience in China

Demonstrable customer service or account servicing experience

Teaching training and presentation experience especially experience in teaching WSET qualifications
