Accountant - Manufacturing

Job Title: Accountant Manufacturing

Location: Kiambu County Kenya

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Accountant to join their team based in Kiambu County. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and providing valuable insights to support decisionmaking processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage daytoday accounting activities including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
   
2. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements reports and budgets for management review.
   
3. Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement.
   
4. Ensure compliance with accounting principles company policies and regulatory requirements.
   
5. Assist in the preparation of tax filings and liaise with external auditors as needed.
   
6. Participate in inventory management processes including inventory reconciliation and valuation.
   
7. Support the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
   
8. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support strategic decisionmaking.
   
9. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
   
10. Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and industry best practices.
    

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
   
2. Professional accounting qualification such as CPA (K) or ACCA.
   
3. Must have at least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles in the manufacturing industry.
   
4. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications particularly Excel.
   
5. Strong understanding of financial principles reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
   
6. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
   
7. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
   
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
