About the Role
Our client in Bahrain is seeking a detail-oriented Risk Associate to support enterprise-wide risk and credit functions. The role will assist in maintaining portfolio quality supporting risk analysis and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of risk management frameworks policies and reporting tools.
- Assist in credit and client risk assessments including preparation of credit review notes.
- Monitor portfolio performance including arrears delinquency trends NPLs and recoveries.
- Prepare risk reports dashboards and MIS for senior management.
- Assist in operational risk monitoring and enterprise risk analysis activities.
- Support stress testing scenario analysis and portfolio risk evaluations.
- Assist in regulatory reporting audit requirements and governance documentation.
- Contribute to risk input for new products and business initiatives.
- Coordinate with credit operations investment and compliance teams for risk reviews and assessments.
Key Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Finance Banking Accounting Economics or related field.
- 25years of experience in risk management credit analysis or banking/financial services.
- Experience working within financial institutions is mandatory.
- Exposure to enterprise risk operational risk investment risk and client risk assessment and reviews.
- Good understanding of regulatory requirements and risk governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with IFRS 9 (ECL) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of CBB regulations is a plus.
- Professional certifications (CFA FRM ACCA CPA) are an advantage.
Core Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Credit and financial analysis fundamentals
- Understanding of enterprise and operational risk concepts
- Attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Excel (SQL/Python is a plus)
- Ability to work in a regulated financial environment
