Accountant

Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records preparing financial statements managing day-to-day accounting operations ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local labour regulations. This role supports the finance department in budgeting reporting and overall financial management to enable informed decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  
• Professional certification (CA-Inter. etc.) is preferred.
  
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience of which at least 2 years in Qatar or the GCC is an advantage.
  
• Knowledge of accounting standards and compliance.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software and expert in MS Office.
  
• Strong attention to detail accuracy and integrity in handling financial data.
  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  
• Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
  
• Manage accounts payable and receivable ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  
• Assist in budgeting forecasting and financial analysis.
  
• Ensure compliance with Qatar regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
  
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  
• Monitor cash flow bank transactions and financial records.
  
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data entry and reporting.
  
• Stay updated on local labour laws and accounting regulations relevant to financial operations in Qatar.
