Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced General Director of Horse Breeding to lead and develop national horse breeding initiatives. This senior leadership role is responsible for strategic planning governance genetics and pedigree programs research & development partnerships and capability building to advance the horse breeding ecosystem at a national level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment and development of a national horse breeding farm and programs
- Develop and implement strategic and operational plans aligned with sector objectives
- Oversee genetics pedigree management and high-potential bloodline programs
- Establish policies standards KPIs and governance frameworks for horse breeding operations
- Supervise research benchmarking and adoption of global best practices
- Build partnerships with universities research institutions and specialized entities

Drive R&D initiatives to improve breeding outcomes and foal quality
- Lead departmental teams talent development and performance management
- Prepare executive-level reports insights and strategic recommendations
- Coordinate with government entities private partners and key stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business Veterinary Sciences or related field (Masters preferred)
- 12 years of experience including 6 years in senior leadership roles
- Deep expertise in horse breeding genetics pedigree systems and stud farm operations
- Proven experience managing large-scale programs and national initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management leadership and decision-making skills
