Key Responsibilities: 1. Procurement & Ordering - Review daily/weekly pharmacy stock requirements and generate purchase orders. - Source and order medicines medical supplies and consumables from approved vendors. - Monitor supplier lead times and ensure timely delivery of orders. - Follow up with suppliers on pending or delayed orders.
2. Inventory Management - Track and maintain optimal stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking. - Conduct regular inventory reconciliation with the store/warehouse team. - Monitor expiry dates and initiate timely stock rotation. - Assist in forecasting demand for seasonal or high-use medications.
3. Compliance & Documentation - Ensure all procurement activities comply with regulatory and company policies. - Maintain accurate purchase order records supplier invoices and delivery notes. - Support audits by providing procurement and inventory records when required.
4. Supplier Management - Maintain relationships with suppliers and distributors. - Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality pricing and delivery. - Assist in negotiating contracts pricing and credit terms.
5. Reporting & Coordination - Prepare regular reports on stock levels purchases and consumption trends. - Coordinate with pharmacists and clinical staff to ensure availability of essential medicines. - Escalate supply issues to management for resolution.
Qualifications & Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Pharmacy Supply Chain Business Administration or related field. - 24 years of experience in pharmacy procurement supply chain or inventory management (healthcare/pharma sector preferred). - Knowledge of pharmaceutical products brand/generic names and inventory practices. - Strong communication negotiation and organizational skills. - Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
