Overview
Prismecs is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor Demobilization Project (Oman) to lead and execute electrical dismantling and shutdown activities for a power or industrial facility.
This position is offered on a project-based contract for an estimated duration of 24 months. We are prioritizing candidates currently based in Oman (local hires only).
This role is responsible for supervising safe isolation dismantling and removal of electrical systems while ensuring strict adherence to HSE standards PTW procedures and project timelines.
The Electrical Supervisor will play a critical role in coordinating site activities leading field teams and ensuring all equipment is properly handled tagged and prepared for relocation or disposal.
Key Responsibilities
Health Safety Environment & Compliance (HSE)
Ensure full compliance with PTW (Permit to Work) LOTO procedures and site HSE requirements
Conduct toolbox talks and enforce safe working practices across all activities
Identify hazards perform risk assessments and implement mitigation measures
Ensure proper isolation shutdown verification and safety compliance before dismantling
Promote a strong safety culture and report any incidents or unsafe conditions
Electrical Demobilization & Shutdown Activities
Supervise and execute electrical demobilization activities across the project site
Perform and verify safe shutdown isolation and LOTO implementation
Lead dismantling and removal of:
- 11kV Switchgear (SWGRs)
- LV Panels / MCCs
- DC Systems and Battery Banks
- Transformers
- MV (11kV) and LV cables cable trays lighting systems and CCTV
Ensure proper cable identification tagging and systematic removal
Oversee equipment preservation packing and preparation for relocation or storage
Ensure all dismantling activities are executed in accordance with technical standards and project procedures
Coordination & Site Execution
Coordinate with Mechanical I&C and Logistics teams for seamless execution
Support work planning sequencing and daily progress tracking
Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to schedule and productivity targets
Provide daily reporting on progress issues and resource requirements
Resolve site-level technical and operational challenges efficiently
Team Supervision & Leadership
Supervise technicians electricians and helpers to ensure quality and efficiency
Allocate tasks and monitor workforce productivity
Ensure work is completed to required standards and timelines
Provide on-site guidance and technical support to field teams

Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical supervision within:
- Power plants
- EPC / construction projects
Proven experience in shutdown or demobilization projects
Hands-on experience in electrical dismantling and shutdown activities (mandatory)
Strong technical knowledge of:
- MV (11kV) and LV systems
- Switchgear transformers DC systems and cable networks
Ability to read and interpret SLDs schematics and electrical layouts
Strong understanding of PTW systems LOTO procedures and electrical safety standards (IEC / OSHA / NFPA)
Demonstrated ability to lead teams under tight deadlines and challenging site conditions
English proficiency (reading writing and communication)
Additional Requirements:
Must be currently based in Oman (local candidates only)
Available for a short-term project (24 months)
Preferred:
Previous Middle East experience
Familiarity with equipment preservation tagging systems and packing for relocation
Experience working on large-scale demobilization or plant shutdown projects
