Capital Project Director

The Capital Project Director is responsible for the overall leadership planning execution and delivery of capital projects from concept through commissioning. The role ensures projects are delivered safely on time within budget and in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements
1 Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the organizations capital project portfolio: asset rehabilitation drinking water network extensions other asset extensions as entrusted by the client.
2 Monitor forecasts and financial performance.
3 Engage with senior leadership client government authorities and partners.
4 Lead the development of project execution strategies and delivery models.
5 Drive project governance decision frameworks and stage-gate approvals
6 Oversee project development mainly conceptual design execution design where applicable and supervision of execution.
7 Review and approve project scope technical design schedules and cost estimates.
8 Champion a strong safety culture across all project activities.
9 Monitor construction progress and contractor performance at site.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience of asset planning and delivery in the water/wastewater industry
- Proven leadership of large-scale projects
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent command of English.
EDUCATIONAL LEVEL
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Civil Electrical Chemical or equivalent
EXPERIENCE From 10 to 15 years in major capital project delivery.
