Job Description
Senior Manager Government Affairs Saudi Arabia
Oracle Corporate Affairs leads Oracles engagements with policy makers worldwide seeking to ensure a regulatory environment conducive to the growth of Oracles business. The Corporate Affairs team includes representatives in Washington DC Europe Africa Middle East Asia and Latin America. We are creating a new position for a Senior Manager Government Affairs Saudi Arabia who will be based in our Oracle office in Riyadh (KSA) reporting to the Director Government Affairs for Middle East. He/She will lead and coordinate Oracles engagement with government officials trade associations and other key policy stakeholders working closely with Oracles senior management in Middle East ensuring Oracle is viewed as a constructive and credible contributor to national digital priorities.
He/She will work closely with colleagues in Oracles legal compliance corporate communication and standards divisions as well as with business leaders in Oracles cloud operations and global business units to ensure a coordinated approach that advances Oracles business objectives and strengthens regulatory trust.
Role and Responsibilities
Policy Strategy: Identify regulatory initiatives in Saudi Arabia that could have a material impact on Oracles business or the interests of our customers. Develop strategic plans - including on a cross-functional basis when required - to leverage opportunities and resolve challenges. Identify and engage allies foster coordination and build coalitions to drive policy change.
Political outreach: Expand and manage Oracles relations with Saudi government officials and relevant stakeholders to maintain Oracles reputation as a trusted and credible contributor on policy issues. Represent Oracle before public institutions trade associations think-tanks and industry coalitions.
Business risk & opportunities: Anticipate new regulations in the Kingdom and work with Oracle business leaders to ensure they are apprised of relevant public policy developments. Work with a cross functional group of colleagues from the legal security privacy compliance sustainability teams to develop policy positions on relevant issues for Oracle including but not limited to cloud computing digital regulation digital sovereignty cyber security data privacy data center and tax.
Professional Competencies:
Required:
8 years of relevant work experience in a highly professional environment focused on policy or government work. At least 3 years of experience in Saudi Arabia.
High-tech industry or related experience. Good understanding of tech policy issues including Cloud data privacy security AI and trade.
Expertise in navigating the political landscape and policy-making landscape in Saudi Arabia.
A proven track record to lead and deliver multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
An enquiring mind eager to continuously learn about the ever-evolving technology landscape.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and regions in different time zones
Comfortable working in a virtual team environment independently and under tight guidelines.
Strong team player highly motivated and willing to provide help where needed to ensure the success of the team.
