Position Title: Senior Civil Structural Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Structural Engineer to develop conceptual and detailed engineering designs coordinate project activities and provide technical support for civil and structural works in industrial projects. The candidate will play a key role in reviewing engineering studies coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring all engineering activities are executed according to company specifications industry standards and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
1. Job Scope
- Develop conceptual designs and prepare detailed engineering solutions for civil and structural works.
- Plan monitor and coordinate assigned projects with internal teams and subcontractors.
- Act as a focal point for in-house and outsourced engineering activities.
2. Project Management
- Coordinate design reviews and approvals with contractors and vendors.
- Review and approve technical documents and engineering submissions.
- Review layouts site preparation plans foundations buildings structural platforms and pipeline support systems.
3. Design and Engineering
- Conduct site verification and collect data for new and existing facilities.
- Perform design and technical reviews for:
- Land surveying and geotechnical investigations
- Roads and drainage systems
4. Health Safety Security Environment & Quality (HSSEQ)
- Ensure full compliance with all HSE and quality management procedures.
- Work closely with the HSSE team on safety-related tasks.
- Participate in risk assessment studies such as HAZOP.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Structural Engineering (Mandatory)
Experience
- Minimum 12 years of experience in civil/structural design and engineering
- Experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Industrial projects is mandatory
- Strong experience in multidisciplinary project environments
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of civil and structural design principles
- Familiar with international codes and standards such as:
- BS UBC IBC
- AISC API ACI ASCE
- Experience in engineering software:
- STAAD Pro
- SAP2000
- ETABS
- SAFE
- AutoCAD
- Ability to prepare structural calculations and detailed engineering drawings
