Maintenance Co-worker- MFU

Serve as a technical and professional expert responsible for the operation and maintenance of all building systems and related software ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Additionally support the team in implementing procedures and policies to maintain safety compliance and efficiency across IKEA facilities.

• Ensure the store provides a safe and secure environment for customers visitors and co-workers at all times.
• Oversee general maintenance and repair/replacement of buildings property fixtures and equipmentincluding mechanical plumbing electrical electronics carpentry and paintingon a regular basis.
• Operate tools and equipment in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Respond promptly and effectively to all emergency calls within the store ensuring issues are resolved completely.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to maintain optimal functionality of all systems.
• Align with maintenance action plans maintain accurate equipment tracking reports and supervise service providers to ensure quality and compliance.
• Take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues before they escalate.
• Understand the store and department action plans take responsibility for departmental goals and actively contribute to achieving them.
• Promote IKEAs social and environmental commitments and collaborate with the team to support sustainability initiatives.
• Report any security breaches immediately to the concerned authority and manager.
• Be familiar with all security-related emergency response procedures and follow policies at all times.
• Adhere to IKEA supply chain and security policies and report any identified breaches to the concerned manager.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience working in a maintenance department or similar technical environment.
• Open to change and highly flexible adapting easily to new situations and priorities.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team supporting and learning from others.
• Good communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to prioritize and organize your own work to make the best use of time and resources.
• Ability to work together in the maintenance team with flexibility to work in any of the IKEA facilities in Kuwait.
