On behalf of our client we are seeking a Procurement & Stores Officer who will be responsible for protecting project margins through disciplined procurement and materials control.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop approved supplier database with pricing benchmarks.
- Conduct comparative analysis for major purchases.
- Negotiate bulk or framework agreements where viable.
- Process purchase orders aligned to approved budgets.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid delays.
- Track price fluctuations and adjust procurement timing strategically.
- Implement Goods Received Note (GRN) system.
- Conduct regular stock reconciliation.
- Prevent material wastage theft and over-ordering.
- Provide procurement variance reports to finance.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management
- Registered with PSPTB (Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board) Preferred
- 47 years procurement experience
- Minimum 23 years in construction environment
- Experience managing supplier negotiations and stock systems
