The Assistant Security Manager supports the Security Manager and the Director of Security in ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests colleagues contractors and hotel assets. The role oversees daily security operations emergency preparedness risk management and compliance with local regulations and brand standards maintaining the service expectations of Raffles and Fairmont.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all day-to-day security operations across both properties
- Supervise and deploy security personnel effectively across hotel premises
- Conduct routine patrols and inspections to safeguard property and assets
- Monitor CCTV systems access control systems and other security technologies
- Ensure smooth coordination between security front office engineering and other departments
- Assist in developing and implementing security policies procedures and emergency response plans
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive measures
- Lead investigations into incidents accidents or breaches and prepare detailed reports
- Ensure compliance with Qatars local laws and safety regulations
- Coordinate fire drills evacuation procedures and crisis response training
- Act as Duty Manager in emergency situations when required
- Liaise with local authorities (Police Civil Defence Ambulance Services)
- Train mentor and develop the security team
- Conduct regular briefings and performance evaluations
- Promote a culture of vigilance professionalism and guest-centric security service
- Ensure VIP protection protocols are implemented when required
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality in high-profile situations
- Protect hotel reputation by maintaining high ethical standards
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Security Management Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of security experience in a luxury hotel and/or resort
- Prior leadership experience
- Knowledge of CCTV systems fire & life safety systems and access control technologies
- Strong understanding of local regulations in Qatar
- Excellent leadership communication and report-writing skills
- Proficiency in English; Due to the nature of the role Arabic is an advantage
