Engineer

Job Summary

The Engineer is responsible for providing technical support and engineering expertise to ensure safe efficient and reliable operations within oil & gas facilities (upstream midstream or downstream). The role involves design review troubleshooting project support maintenance coordination and compliance with industry standards and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Support

• Assist in design review and modification of oil & gas systems and equipment.

• Prepare engineering calculations drawings specifications and reports.

• Ensure compliance with technical standards and company procedures.

• Support feasibility studies and technical evaluations.

2. Operations & Maintenance

• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvement actions.

• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

• Troubleshoot operational issues and provide technical solutions.

• Assist in optimizing production and minimizing downtime.

3. Project Coordination

• Participate in project planning and scheduling activities.

• Coordinate with contractors vendors and internal departments.

• Monitor project progress and ensure quality standards are met.

• Support commissioning testing and handover activities.

4. HSE & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies.

• Participate in risk assessments (HAZOP/HAZID).

• Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (API ASME ISO IEC).

• Report incidents and support corrective action implementation.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and records.

• Prepare daily weekly and monthly performance reports.

• Support audits and regulatory inspections.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Petroleum Chemical Civil or related discipline).

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry.

• Knowledge of upstream midstream or downstream operations.

• Familiarity with industry codes and standards.

• Proficiency in engineering software and MS Office.
