Job Summary
The Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations ensuring safe and efficient execution of activities within the assigned oil & gas function (upstream midstream or downstream). The role ensures compliance with company policies industry regulations and HSE standards while achieving operational and financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Management
Plan organize and manage daily operational activities.
Ensure production targets and operational KPIs are achieved.
Monitor asset performance and implement improvement initiatives.
Coordinate with engineering maintenance and project teams.
2. HSE & Compliance
Enforce Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe work practices.
Ensure compliance with local and international oil & gas regulations.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
3. Financial & Budget Control
Prepare and manage departmental budgets.
Control operational costs and optimize resource utilization.
Review and approve procurement and service contracts.
Monitor financial performance against targets.
4. Project & Contract Management
Oversee project execution within scope time and budget.
Manage contractors vendors and service providers.
Ensure contract compliance and performance evaluation.
Support tendering and technical evaluation processes.
5. Team Leadership
Lead and supervise engineers supervisors and technicians.
Conduct performance evaluations and training programs.
Promote teamwork accountability and continuous improvement.
Develop succession planning and capability enhancement initiatives.
6. Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination
Prepare operational and performance reports.
Coordinate with senior management on strategic initiatives.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 8–12 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry.
At least 3–5 years in supervisory/management role.
Strong knowledge of oil & gas operations (upstream midstream or downstream).
Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.
