Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized professional to join our team in KSA. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of financial and administrative tasks including budgeting invoicing and reporting with an added focus on project cost control. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial tracking and effective coordination with internal teams to support our operational and financial efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets.
- Track project expenditures and ensure they remain within budget.
- Identify and analyze cost variances providing explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Support the project management team with cost forecasting and financial planning.
- Invoicing and Financial Submissions:
- Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices to clients based on contractual terms.
- Review and verify project financial submissions such as Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs) Change Orders (COs) Variation Orders (VO) etc.
- Track the status of invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Timesheet Verification & Reporting:
- Verify the accuracy of employee and contractor timesheets.
- Ensure that timesheets are submitted on time and in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare regular financial reports including budget vs. actual analysis for project managers and senior management.
- Coordination and Support:
- Liaise with internal teams including project management human resources and procurement to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Provide financial support and guidance to project teams.
- Assist in assessing the financial implications of project changes.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Engineering (Civil Mechanical or related) or a related field.
- Experience: 37 years of experience in a finance accounting or cost control role preferably within a project-based or consultancy environment.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of budgeting invoicing and cost control principles.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle) is required; familiarity with cost management software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with construction/engineering project environments is highly desirable.
- Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g. AACE RICS PMP CMA) are advantageous but not required.
- Language: Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
