Job Title: Senior Design Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to lead and contribute to the development of innovative engineering designs. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing developing and optimizing design solutions that align with project requirements and organizational goals. The role demands proficiency in design software sound engineering principles and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of complex mechanical/electrical/structural components and systems.
Interpret project requirements customer needs and specifications to create detailed design solutions.
Prepare and review 2D drawings 3D models and assembly documentation using CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks CATIA CREO).
Perform design calculations simulations and feasibility analysis for new components or systems.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes industry standards and safety regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D manufacturing and quality assurance.
Evaluate and improve existing product designs to enhance performance reduce costs and resolve defects.
Mentor and guide junior design engineers and provide technical expertise and leadership.
Participate in design reviews client meetings and project planning sessions.
Maintain accurate records of design revisions documentation and engineering changes.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on design engineering experience in a relevant industry.
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks CATIA Inventor Revit etc.).
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes materials GD&T and engineering standards.
Experience in product lifecycle management (PLM) and documentation systems.
Key Skills Required:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent knowledge of design principles drafting standards and engineering practices.
Hands-on experience with FEA/CAE tools (e.g. ANSYS Abaqus) is a plus.
Project management and team leadership skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
