Job Title: Cataloguing Engineer

Location: Qatar
Industry: Oil & Gas
Experience Required: Minimum 4–5 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cataloguing Engineer with a minimum of 4–5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating maintaining and standardizing material master data and catalogues in ERP systems ensuring data accuracy completeness and compliance with company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Create update and maintain material master records in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Review and standardize material descriptions in accordance with company cataloguing standards.
Classify materials using international coding standards (e.g. UNSPSC ISO standards).
Ensure elimination of duplicate materials and maintain data integrity.
Coordinate with Procurement Engineering Warehouse and Maintenance teams for accurate material identification.
Interpret engineering drawings technical datasheets and vendor documentation for proper cataloguing.
Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all cataloguing activities.
Support spare parts identification and equipment BOM (Bill of Materials) structuring.
Ensure compliance with Oil & Gas industry specifications and company procedures.
Generate reports and perform data cleansing activities as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation preferred).
Minimum 4–5 years of experience in cataloguing/material master data management within the Oil & Gas industry.
Strong knowledge of SAP MM module (or similar ERP system).
Familiarity with international cataloguing and material coding standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
