3-5 year broad technical experience in Technical/Design Engineering applications in Power Cable manufacturing
Bachelor in Science in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with strong theoretical and technical background
Cable design and calculation
Knowledge in Autocad drawing application
Knowledge in Computer software application
Initiates and follow-up all product designing activities (Design and Development) to ensure new products are produced according product design.
Activities include identification of requirements for products based on projects and products based on costumers Specification: defining input parameters acceptance criteria test limits verification approving and releasing the final design of the products in the form of Design Sheet (DS) for production.
Reviews Technical Specification revived from sales for Non-standard products reviews the customer requirements and studies manufacturing possibility based on machinery and testing and accordingly recommends to the Sales to accept or decline customers request for the quantities.
Develops Products manufacturing specifications according to customers requirements (analyzing cable constructions applicable standards electrical and mechanical characteristics test requirements packing and application complete technical/compliance offer to customers including technical data and recommended alternative solutions to meet customer requirements whenever customers specifications cannot be fully complied with.
Provides cable Design sheet (DS) that contains the cable dimension/structure and Bill of materials (BOM) to list the material required to manufacture a specific cable designed and other technical data required by logistics/Planning to determine material availability delivery schedule and manufacturing data to determine product cost for quotation to customer. This general Design Sheet (DS) based on technical requirement of quoted product are to be used for preparation of other documents in Production and Process Engineering Logistic/Planning and Test & Inspection Engineering to ensure the product is being manufactured in compliance with specifications requirements.
Initiates and follow-up all product designing activities (Design and Developed) for the New Family Products according to the company design and development procedure then review the Inspection and test Specification and put the acceptance criteria for manufacturing and testing the product as part of product Design approval.
Makes final assessments/evaluation and prepares summary of the results of actual measurements made on the manufactured products and discuss the result with the Head of Technical Department for granting approval disapproval or recommended further revision in design for re-manufacturing.
Participates in the development of the Company ERP system Navision to ensure effective utilization of the software facilities in performing the product design to generate BOM Routing Customer Technical Specification with Construction and Electrical Data.
Participates in the arrangements prepares list of the test to be performed abroad as type test. Evaluates and discuss the matters of such type test with Technical Head for taking further actions.
Ensures that ISO 9001 and TQM documentation procedures are properly followed in all stages involved in the designing process.
Orders updates and monitors the technical library for tests national / international standards and specifications.
Reviews and updates Low Voltage Cables Catalogue as and when required.
Ensures and report to the Technical Head that the product manufacturing tolerances are within or exceeds the values as stipulated in the design standard. Continually reviews the production data and takes corrective measures whenever necessary.
