Duty Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Duty Engineer to join our dynamic team in Baghdad Iraq. As a Duty Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilitys critical systems and infrastructure. • Monitor and maintain facility systems equipment and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
• Respond promptly to emergency situations and implement effective solutions
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues across various engineering disciplines
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation reports and logs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and safety
• Ensure compliance with local engineering standards and regulations in Iraq
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and stay updated on industry best practices
• Implement energy management and sustainability practices to optimize resource utilization
• Conduct regular inspections and safety audits to maintain a secure work environment
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee contracted maintenance services

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar engineering role
• Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices particularly in facility management
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in handling emergency situations and critical systems
• Thorough understanding of HVAC electrical and plumbing systems
• Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures
• Knowledge of local engineering standards and regulations in Iraq
• Experience with preventive maintenance planning and execution
• Familiarity with energy management and sustainability practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Relevant engineering certifications (e.g. Professional Engineer certification) preferred
• Flexibility to work on-call or extended hours when required
