We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef De Partie to join our culinary team in Baghdad Iraq. As a key member of our kitchen staff you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen ensuring the highest standards of food quality presentation and efficiency.
- Manage and coordinate activities within your designated kitchen section
- Prepare cook and present high-quality dishes according to menu specifications and culinary standards
- Ensure proper mise en place is completed before service and maintained throughout operational periods
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff within your section
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with local health regulations and HACCP requirements
- Monitor and control food costs minimize waste and optimize ingredient utilization
- Assist in inventory management including stock rotation and ordering supplies
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and handle high-pressure situations during peak service times
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen environment
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3-4 years of culinary experience in high-end restaurants or luxury hotels
- Proven experience in a Chef De Partie or similar role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Extensive knowledge of various cuisines modern culinary techniques and food trends
- Excellent understanding of food safety regulations hygiene standards and kitchen operations
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Creative flair for food presentation and menu development
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences and customer satisfaction
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
