As a Member of Technical Staff on Oracles Micronaut team you will help drive further innovation on the and the Micronaut open-source framework Graal Development Kit for Micronaut (GDK)
Key Responsibilities:
- Design implement and review new features for the Micronaut framework GDK and its Oracle-internal extensions.
- Contribute to the Graal Development Kit for Micronaut (GDK) supplying curated modules designed for ahead-of-time compilation and native image generation.
- Collaborate with teams across Oracle Database Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Health to integrate and optimize Micronaut deployments. Provide support to internal users of Micronaut and GDK by answering usage questions assisting with troubleshooting and sharing best practices.
- Develop tooling for integrations of Micronaut and GDK in IDEs.
- Engage with open-source and internal developer communities by contributing code conducting reviews and writing documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving technologies and best practices continuously improving the framework and team capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Java programming
- Knowledge of REST APIs microservices architecture and cloud-native application principles
- Experience with software development tools version control (e.g. Git) and automated testing
- Thorough understanding of CS fundamentals including data structures algorithms and complexity analysis
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with web application development frameworks such as Micronaut Spring Boot Quarkus or similar
- Familiarity with GraalVM polyglot development or ahead-of-time (AOT) compilation principles
- Contribution history to open-source projects
- Experience working in large-scale distributed engineering teams
- Knowledge of security best practices in web application and service design
