Video Editor – Social Media & Short-Form Content

This is a remote position.

Were looking for a creative Video Editor to join the Melon Brains team.

Youll be editing different types of videos including social media Reels event coverage product demos interviews and brand videos. Most of your work will be short-form videos for Instagram and TikTok but you should also be comfortable editing other formats when needed.

This role is for someone who enjoys storytelling pays attention to details and likes turning raw footage into videos people actually enjoy watching. If you love social media trends and editing fast engaging videos this role is for you.

Using AI tools to speed up editing and improve quality is a big plus.

Job Responsibilities

• Edit short-form vertical videos (Reels TikTok Shorts) for social media platforms
  
• Edit other video formats such as event coverage product demos interviews and brand videos
  
• Apply modern editing styles suitable for each platform and content type
  
• Add captions on-screen text transitions effects and sound design
  
• Adapt videos into multiple formats and ratios when needed
  
• Use AI tools to speed up editing tasks such as captioning cleanup and rough cuts
  
• Collaborate with content creators designers and strategists
  
• Handle revisions efficiently and maintain consistent output quality
  
• Deliver monthly video requirements within agreed timelines
  

Requirements

• 13 years of experience in video editing across different formats
  
• Strong experience editing social media Reels and short-form content
  
• Ability to edit longer-form videos (events demos interviews)
  
• Proficiency in editing tools such as CapCut Adobe Premiere Pro After Effects or similar
  
• Experience using AI-powered editing tools (auto captions noise removal smart cuts etc.)
  
• Good understanding of social media platforms and video best practices
  
• Strong sense of pacing storytelling and visual flow
  
• Portfolio showing a variety of edited videos (short-form and long-form)
  
• Ability to work full-time and remotely
