Key Responsibilities
* Operate monitor and control wastewater treatment plant processes and pumping stations.
* Check service and maintain pumps motors compressors belts filters piping and connections.
* Monitor plant performance alarms and instrumentation; report issues to supervisors.
* Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment including air blowers chemical dosing systems odor control systems screens and filters.
* Troubleshoot and repairing mechanical and electrical components of wastewater pumps gear drives reducers air blowers and compressors.
* Maintain maintenance records tools and spare parts inventory.
* Respond to emergency situations equipment failure or plant outages promptly.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards including Lockout/Tagout procedures and confined space protocols.
* Coordinate activities with plant operations and re-pump facilities.
* Assist in calibration and setup of process equipment using testing instruments.
Requirements
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years experience in wastewater treatment plants pumping stations or related water networks (Foul Sewer TSE Storm Water).
* Diploma or certification in Mechanical Electrical or Environmental Engineering or relevant field.
* Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes pumps motors and auxiliary equipment.
* Familiarity with process instrumentation chemical dosing and odor control systems.
* Basic understanding of electrical systems and control panels in treatment plants.
Skills & Competencies
* Strong mechanical and operational troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings schematics and manuals.
* Attention to detail and record-keeping.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Good communication skills for coordination with engineers supervisors and site teams.
* Knowledge of health safety and environmental regulations.
Preferred Experience
* Experience in STP operations in large-scale industrial or municipal projects.
* Knowledge of SCADA systems or process control software.
* Experience with emergency response and preventive maintenance planning.
