JOB DESCRIPTION:
Tax & Payroll Manager Egypt (CFS)
Key Responsibilities
Tax Management
- Ensure full compliance with Egyptian tax laws including Income Tax Law and its amendments as well as international tax obligations (like for Import and Exports).
- Prepare and review corporate tax VAT and other applicable taxes ensuring accurate filings with the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA).
- Monitor changes in Egyptian tax legislation and advise management on implications for business operations.
- Manage tax audits and liaise with ETA and external auditors.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency within the framework of Egyptian regulations.
Payroll Management
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for all employees in compliance with Egyptian Labor Laws.
- Ensure timely salary payments and accurate calculation of allowances and final settlements.
- Calculate and process statutory deductions:
- Address payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with HR for onboarding benefits and compensation adjustments.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual payroll and tax reports for management and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct annual tax reconciliation and submit reports of the following year.
- Analyze payroll and tax data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure internal controls for payroll and tax processes are robust and aligned with Egyptian compliance standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of employee and company financial data.
- Stay updated on digital reporting requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field with emphasis in Accounting and CPA required.
- Minimum 57 years of experience in tax and payroll management preferably in Egypt or MENA region.
- Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and MS Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
