- Develop and implement comprehensive production plans aligned with sales forecasts capacity constraints and business objectives.
- Lead a team of production planners providing guidance performance management and professional development.
- Collaborate with Sales Supply Chain Procurement and Manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on delivery commitments and resource availability.
- Monitor and analyze production performance metrics (e.g. on-time delivery schedule adherence inventory turns) and drive corrective actions.
- Optimize material requirements planning (MRP) master production scheduling (MPS) and capacity planning processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely update of production schedules including handling of changes exceptions and prioritization of urgent orders.
- Utilize ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) to generate reports forecasts and dashboards for senior management review.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste improve planning accuracy and increase operational agility.
- Manage supplier and internal capacity constraints proactively to prevent production bottlenecks.
- Maintain compliance with safety quality and environmental standards within the planning function.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Operations Management Industrial Engineering or a related field; MBA or certification in Supply Chain/Operations (e.g. APICS CSCP) is a plus.
- 510 years of progressive experience in production planning scheduling or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of leading production planning teams and delivering on-time delivery targets.
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP preferred) MRP MPS and demand planning tools.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure manage multiple priorities and adapt to dynamic production environments.
- Experience in a high-volume continuous manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
