The opportunity
You as aPrimary Engineer GIS will be part of Hitachi Energys High Voltage Business based in Dammam Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for primary engineering of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) actively contributing to projects by developing optimized solutions that meet technical requirements. The role focuses on reducing lead time and cost while ensuring the highest quality of deliverables.
How Youll Make an Impact
Preparing electrical and gas single-line diagrams planning layouts and section drawings based on tender documents and customer specifications.
Creating technical particulars for GIS and high-voltage equipment such as breakers and disconnectors for customer submission.
Reviewing deliverables before client submission and preparing technical documentation for procurement of current and voltage transformers.
Participating in customer and project review meetings adhering to detailed project plans to ensure timely delivery.
Developing optimized solutions that benefit both the customer and Hitachi Energy while coordinating with civil steel and application engineers from Hitachi Energy or EPC partners.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your Background
Bachelors degree or 3-year diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in GIS.
Hands-on experience with 3D tools such asProE / CREOAutoCAD andMS Office.
Knowledge of international standards such asIEC/ANSIfor high-voltage GIS products.
Experience in preparing GIS layouts for various voltage levels and understanding design variances.
Proficiency in both spoken and writtenEnglishis required.
