Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines including inboard and outboard engines.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues in various marine systems such as propulsion electrical fuel and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct inspections of marine vessels to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Replace or repair damaged or wornout parts including engines transmissions propellers and other components.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new marine systems and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed including repairs maintenance and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and offering maintenance advice.
- Test and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Assist with the ordering and inventory management of parts and tools.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or a degree in marine technology/mechanics is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Marine Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of marine engines systems and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Good problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
