Patient Affairs

Patient Affairs at CARE Doha is responsible for coordinating questions concerns and appointments with program leadership clinical leadership and the case management team. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting patients with available resources and support. 
• Communicate with doctors nurses therapists and other providers on behalf of the patient. 
• Liaise with an insurance company on a patientsbehalf.  
• Provide for patients education needs ranging from medical bills to information on a diagnosis.  
• Help navigate treatment and care options.  
• Assist with note taking during medical visits.  
• Advocate for patients needs when they cant speak for themselves.  
• Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events.   
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Minimum of two 2 years experience in a hospital setting. 
• Experience in patient interactions and problem resolutions with patients families and team members. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook). 

Experience Preferred: 

• Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred. 

Education Required: 

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program BSN preferred. 
• Obtain provided American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. 
• Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. 
• May require bending stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.  

Other Special Qualifications:

• Must be able to read write and speak English to effectively communicate.
• On call requirements as part of a rotation if required.  
• This position is unaccompanied.
• Ability to obtain a base security clearance is required. 
• Must be able to relocate to Qatar for the duration of the contract.
• A valid passport in Country of Record is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Qatar. 

Additional Information :

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
