Job Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with tax laws and company policies. The role involves overseeing daily financial transactions budget management cost analysis and supporting the companys financial health. The accountant will work closely with management to ensure effective cost control and accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
- Analyze and report on financial performance identifying areas for cost improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable payroll and inventory accounting.
- Reconcile bank statements company credit card statements and general ledger accounts.
- Analyze costs related to mattress production including material labor and overhead.
- Conduct periodic reviews of costing systems to ensure accurate pricing and profitability.
- Assist in developing and managing budgets for various departments.
- Provide financial projections and forecasts based on historical data and market trends.
- Prepare and file corporate taxes ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulations.
- Assist with audits both internal and external.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels ensuring accurate reporting of stock on hand and cost of goods sold.
- Work with the production team to optimize inventory turnover and minimize waste.
- Provide management with financial data and reports to support decisionmaking.
- Conduct variance analysis to understand deviations between actual results and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks implementing control measures where necessary.
- Handle payments to suppliers and negotiate payment terms.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Process payroll and ensure proper taxation benefits deductions and salary payments.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 35 years of accounting experience in Factories Or Manufacturing Companies ideallywithin a manufacturing environment.
- Working experience with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience with inventory management and cost accounting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
