Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Draftsman to create accurate technical drawings and plans for architectural projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction techniques drafting standards and proficiency in CAD software to support architects and engineers in translating design concepts into detailed drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare architectural drawings floor plans elevations and sections using AutoCAD Revit or other drafting software
Work from rough sketches specifications and design concepts provided by architects or engineers
Modify and update existing plans to reflect design changes or site conditions
Ensure all drawings comply with building codes zoning laws and construction standards
Coordinate with architects engineers and project managers to clarify project requirements and resolve discrepancies
Assist in preparing construction documents and permit packages
Maintain project files and drawing archives for future reference
Perform site visits and measurements to verify as-built conditions when required
Contribute to design development and technical detailing
Stay updated with the latest drafting tools and industry practices
Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Architectural Drafting Civil Technology or related field
Proven experience as a draftsman or CAD technician in an architectural or construction firm
Proficient in AutoCAD Revit and other drafting software
Strong understanding of construction methods materials and detailing
Knowledge of local building codes and technical standards
Attention to detail and excellent technical drawing skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Strong communication and coordination abilities
