The Project Manager (IT Infrastructure) will lead the planning execution and delivery of IT infrastructure projects spanning networks servers storage cloud environments cybersecurity and enterprise systems. The role ensures that all projects are delivered on time within scope and aligned with business objectives. The successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams manage vendors and enforce best practices to support a stable secure and scalable IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end management of IT infrastructure projects from initial scoping and budgeting to execution testing and handover.
- Develop project plans timelines cost estimates and resource allocations in alignment with organisational goals.
- Oversee upgrades migrations and implementations related to networks data centres hardware cloud platforms and security systems.
- Coordinate with stakeholders technical teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Identify project risks and apply mitigation strategies while maintaining business continuity.
- Monitor project progress track KPIs and prepare status reports for leadership.
- Manage project documentation including requirements technical specifications and post-implementation reviews.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support change management activities and facilitate user readiness during transitions.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or related field.
58 years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects within medium to large organisations.
Proven experience in network server storage cloud and cybersecurity environments.
Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Experience working with project management tools (e.g. MS Project Jira Asana).
Strong knowledge of ITIL practices and service management processes (ITIL certification preferred).
Professional certifications such as PMP PRINCE2 or equivalent are highly advantageous.
Preferred Skills
Strong technical understanding of enterprise-level infrastructure environments.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure AWS Google Cloud).
Familiarity with virtualization (VMware Hyper-V) network security data centre operations and disaster recovery solutions.
Ability to analyse complex technical issues and translate them into business-friendly language.
