Major Duties / Responsibilities:
Ensures effective implementation and maintenance of safety policies and programs to ensure occupational and personnel safety within the premises & projects.
Conduct regular risk assessments identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with the operations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the facilities equipment and projects to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify areas for improvement.
Conduct investigations into safety incidents accidents and near-misses and develop actionable recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
Analyses the causes behind such accidents/ incidents conducts preventive and corrective safety checks as per prescribed standards and ensures readiness of all measures to be taken
Develop and implement emergency response plans conduct regular drills and ensure that all personnel are adequately trained for emergency situations.
Continuously evaluate and improve safety programs and procedures to enhance the overall safety culture.
Assists in the development of safety management procedures in compliance with all relevant quality standards and procedural/ legislative requirements
Requirements
Qualification & Experience
Qualification: Bachelors degree in electrical/ mechanical/ chemical Industrial or Fire & Safety Engineering from a reputed university.
Experience: Not less than 12 years of experience in fire & safety field with at least 5 years in Utilities (power & water) sector.
Fluent in English correspondence. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
Computer literate and presentation skill
Required Skills:
